Why is it that, when some one says, “What do you want from me?!” in the middle of an argument, the other person just storms off? or gives you more flak for it? or just says, “Nothing.”
Obviously you want something because you are making me feel bad about not satisfying you. Even if the matter is entirely mine, you somehow want to talk to me about it and make me think twice about what I’m doing. When I am doing it for me, and me alone. Then yeah ok, you don’t want anything because hey, there is nothing in it FOR YOU. It’s mine! and i was HAPPY doing it before you came and NAGGED. and nagged and nagged. “What are you gonna do with your life?” I AM ALREADY DOING IT!!! Just let me be!
I certainly don’t think I’m doing anything wrong. Or anything not...worthwhile. If i was, then I would know. This is where I wanna be right now. And I honestly don’t care what others think. That’s primeval. And demoralizing to say the least. There are people out there who will put you down. If you listen to them. They’re always out there. Just waiting for you to fail. Doubt or second guess yourself. and that’s when they getcha! They pull you down with them, in the sorry abyss that they themselves are in. They are like sirens, only worse, they don’t sing. They complain. And they’ll take you down with them. Just don’t listen. Keep your head above water before you drown with them in their sorry miserable state.
